1/2 Scale 6 PDR Field Gun
Description:
The 1/2 Scale 6 PDR Field Gun is our largest cannon, and our newest addition.
We have had so many requests for this type of cannon we had to start designing them.
This carriage will fit a steel or brass 32" tube. Its available fully finished or unfinished, with or without the tube, and with or without the wheels.
The Carriage (Trail) is available in Red Oak, Hard Maple, Ash. You can special order for Walnut.
Wheels: 30" diameter wheels with tapered spokes, with steel rims. An aluminum axle is
pressed into the axle tree, with brass washer and pin
Tube: 32" steel tube included in prices below, special order brass.
Trail: 50" long, and 4" x 4" diameter
Cheeks have steel reinforcement bands, attached with copper nails. Cheeks are 17" long
We use a brass elevating mech with steel acme threads, the housing is solid brass.
Steel hitch and other steel hardware on the trail is painted black.
The trunion caps and other hardware on the trail is brass.
